Our Emergency Room Visit!

It wasn't one of the kids and it wasn't me - Jon spent about 5 hours in the Emergency Room on Sunday night due to an allergic reaction to something. Covered in hives, lips and tongue swollen, no creases in his ear lobes and having difficulty swallowing, with some not so gentle encouragement to get to the ER, he went. I don't think we will ever know what he ingested or is allergic to, but we do know now that he isn't that great of a patient. Laying on an uncomfortable bed for 4 hours while being pumped full of steroids and drugs wasn't Jon's idea of fun (not that it is for anyone!) He is fine now and even went to work today. I have to thank Deb, our friend that just happens to be a nurse, for getting him to finally go in. Coming from me, his obnoxious wife, the pleading just didn't get across to him, but Deb got him to see the urgency of it, so THANK YOU, DEB!

On a happier note, Jared got his cast off today! He had to sit on the bench this weekend while his team played in a basketball tournament. He literally tried to take his cast off himself on Saturday night so he could play on Sunday. It didn't work, thank goodness! He will be back in the swing of it for the next tournament.

Jamie and Josh have their basketball tryouts this week and next . . . and then HERE WE GO AGAIN!! YEAAAAAA! : )
