Jamie turns 13!!!

13 years ago today, Jon and I headed into work at Pillsbury College in Owatonna and started our day like any other. Jon went into an Athletic Department meeting while I was trying to keep the Student Life office running smoothly. After a pretty much sleepless night the night before due to contractions on and off, Jamie decided it was time. I put a call into the Athletic secretary to see if she could QUIETLY get Jon out of the meeting. While the end result was accomplished it wasn't all that quiet. We got to the hospital and about 8 hours later our 8 pound, 14 ounce baby girl graced us with her presence and has been doing the same thing every day since then. She has been a delight to us from the moment we laid eyes on her and we couldn't be prouder of her and all that she has accomplished and for the very fact that she is a wonderful young lady.

For her birthday we remodeled Jamie's bedroom. She got a new paint job, a new desk, a big cork bulletin board, and a comfy feather topper for her bed. It didn't sound too "fun", but that is what she wanted. My parents and my brother and his family came over for a little party and it was a great evening. Here is a slide show of the night and of Jamie! Happy Birthday and we love you, Jamie!
